Question for the Garmin Tread users

Something I noticed on my Tread Overland last year around November was the addon of the Optional Premium Maps with Outdoor Maps+ from Garmin. Im curious if any Tread Users(or other Garmin Users) have bothered to use it and what features were added that were not there before?

For those that have used it, did you find it to be worth using? Please give detail.
