Questions about "Urban Offroad" and some wheels

I have been looking at options for outfitting our LR3. The first thing that I need to do is replace the 19inch wheels with 18inch wheels. All five of the tires currently on the car are starting to dry rot so I am looking at my options. While hunting around I found the a company called:

"Urban Offroad" http://www.urbanoffroad.us/

I am having difficulty finding any reviews of the company or their products. They appear to have an interesting and I think appealing selection of LR3 stuff including the roof racks.

So first question: If anyone has dealt with this company how was the experience?

My next question is based on the original search I was on. Urban Offroad sells the following wheel: http://www.urbanoffroad.us/index.ph...n-120mm-bolt-pattern-6in-backspace-wheel.html

The problem is that it has a 6 inch backspace vice the 6.5 inch backspace and I am concerned about the effect on turning. So second question is:
What is your thoughts on the above wheels?

Thank you in advance for the help.

I just added 1.5 spacers to my LR3. I have not reay noticed a difference in turning. So the .5 offset difference probably will not matter. I run the 10 spoke 18" wheel with Goodyear MTR Kevlar 275/65 18.

Hi Mike, I met Derek Chase 5 years ago when his shop was in Chatsworth. He was a friend of a LR-friend who recommended I check out his work since I was interested in D2 bumpers, rock sliders and body armor. Derek spent a fair amount of time showing me his custom work and discussed ideas he had for future products. Derek was very accommodating and willing to build whatever I wanted. He also updated me via email periodically when he had new news. Two years ago I saw his work was featured in a magazine so contacted him again for detailed photos and pricing on his D2 bumpers. Derek not only remembered me but was very responsive in getting back to me. So my experience in dealing with him has only been positive.

I just picked up some sliders from him. They arrive tomorrow, I can give you a mini review of them, but I can say dealing with Derek is great.

Derek has done some custom work for me as well as facilitate me in procuring other products that he does not manufacture. I can assure you that my experiences have all been fantastic. His is a consummate professional in his own very artistic way. In short, you can get stuff from Derek that is highly functional and looks pretty damn sweet too.

Thank you all for the input. I am hoping to support Urban Offroad with my business in the near future. When I do, I will leave a review of both products and services.
Yubert,
Long time no talk. I appreciate your impression of Urban Offroad, especially having dealt with the Bottorf fiasco. I hope things are going well with you out there on the west coast.
Rovertrader,
It is also good to hear from you. As the weather is warming up, I have been riding the Ural to work a couple of times a month. We ended up buying a three acre 1920s farm house in the D.C. area and the kids and I ride around property almost every weekend. Thank you again for the great deal.
