A friend is going to gift his 96 B3500 Ram Van to me. It'll need a transmission which I plan on replacing myself.
My goal with finding a van is to be able to convert the back half for a sleeping quarters for two, storage, and if possible, a mini fridge. I would also like to add electrical hookup and auxiliary roof mounted HVAC unit if possible. The van will be used to tow a car on an open trailer long distances in hot climate.
Has anyone completed a similar build or done anything with these vans? Am I getting in over my head with this?
