Ok, let's see a thread of peoples moon photos.

I really am very proud of this latest photo.
Its amazing to me how i got so lucky getting so many aspects in one shot. Yosh, the dog, fire, moon, the reflection off the river, etc.

So lets see your moon shots. :shakin: <<<< No, not that one.

Okay, so I posted this in one of the other photo threads, but this was taken after 11pm with only the ambient light from the moon (it was literally pitch black; dark enough that I didn't see the shadow of the flag until I was post processing). Exposure was 30sec. It was a waning moon (3/4-full), but because it moves during exposure it appears full. And while this has been post processed to optimize it, nothing has been embellished with software.

A "pac man moon" (waxing crescent moon and Venus over the desert at sunset)

A coincidental moon (was shooting the crazy shadow on this light platform and the moon happened to be in-frame ... and it makes the photo even better because of it)

And, finally, a shot of the August 2007 lunar eclipse

When I shot this, I thought it was going to be more spectacular . . . 3/4 moon through the lower window. Turns out it just looks like a white dot.

I probably should get around to rescanning this some day. It was done on an old scanner and sized for acceptable load time over a 28K modem. It really prints up much nicer in Illfachrome.
