Random.....Old Mining Town Pics....!

I am fascinated by the old mining towns, etc.

The Men who worked them were a hearty breed, indeed!

How did they decide to build there and search>?!!!

How could they dig..........day after day>?!

Post up your pics....... of Random Mining areas and artifacts.

Let's log in pics while these historic sites are still here......for future generations to see!

You DO NOT have to give exact directions if you do not wish to.........But the cool thing is.......you can keep taking pics and keep going there year after year, and post your updated pics here!

Me too! There is something about old mining structures. I just love them. They are always in the most remote cool places too.

Sunflower Mine, AZ.

The engineering that went into some of these structures is amazing. Look at this outhouse!

They damned up this river and directed the water along this aquaduct. Pretty amazing!!

One of my favorites...

This is in west-central Idaho- many dirt miles from "civilization". You're looking at the entire town. It still services gold prospectors who typically use mule teams to carry supplies. I've seen a few of these guys on the trail and it's a wild sight. The kitchen is open every summer and the menu includes a price per-hour to "pasture" your pack animals.
