We loved our 2001 Mitsubishi Montero. It never failed us and got us places that we couldn't believe. Not too bad for an $8,000 Ebay leap of faith! Eye of the Whale Trail, Arches National Park, Utah.

Vehicle-supported remote overland travel with two 14-year old daughters. Mountain Meadows, Magruder Corridor, Idaho.

Roads? We don't need roads. Open range south of Dillon, Montana.

After we realized how well the Montero worked, I did extensive surgery on her to improve her offroad abilities. Big Sheep Creek National Backcountry Byway, Beaverhead County, Montana.

If it were easier to get parts here in the states I would have kept this great rig.

We are quite happy with the Colorado, though. It's far more capable than the Mighty Mitsu. Since I paid over five times as much for it, it had better be!
