Looks great! Are you just going to go with a sleeping pad or air mattress? I wish I could do something small like that, but I have to be able to accommodate for the misses and junior. Keep up the hard work.

I have a bedroll with a big agnes q core sleeping pad and a big agnes sleeping bag all wrapped in a military bivy sack. When the weather is nice I like to just sleep on the ground.

Ok Almost complete. Letting the final coats dry. I just need to build the drawer front and screw down the top. I have tomorrow off work so i can complete it before I leave for my work trip to NorCal. I do timber stand inventory "timber cruising" and I'll be camping all week. 20150607_205232.jpg 20150607_205157.jpg 20150607_205148.jpg 20150607_180322.jpg 20150531_201114.jpg

All finished! The hdpe slides move the drawer easily and the southco latch closes with a posotive click. Thank you all for the inspiration and ideas!

So far everything is holding together. With the drawer loaded its not as easy to pull as I'd like. I used two three inch strips of hdpe. I also used 3/4 plywood for the drawer. I'm thinking about rebuilding the drawer with half inch ply and two inch strips of uhmw for the slides. Other than that I'm very happy with this setup. I can sleep in the back with all my gear still inside. Now i have a mostly weatherproof place to sleep when the weather is too harsh for sleeping outside. :wings:
