Rear Awning on Trail Rack

Seeing as I do not have a roof rack, I was thinking about mounting a rear awning to the trail rack pictured below. My goal is to mount this awning to the rear of the trail rack so when I open the tire carrier, the awning extends out to the left of the Jeep, sort of creating an L shape. Has anyone mounted an awning like this or see any issues with it? I know the awning will stick out past the rack but not past the Jeep. Ideally, mounting it to the rear of the rack would hopefully cause less drag from the wind and less stress on the trail rack.

Since no one has offered a suggestion, I would ask if you have considered or looked at the Slumberjack Road House Tarp? I just ordered one and its a new item in the marketplace but you can do a google search and find out more.

I appreciate the response! Right after I posted this I headed over to see what was new on the camping gear section and saw the Slumberjack Road House Tarp. That might be the way to good. I am curious to see other's impressions - specifically on the stability. I had a similar awning that was never very sturdy. But at that price point - its hard to beat.
