Hi all,
I'm wondering about the minimum tire clearance that I can use between the tire and the camper floor using a 35" SRW. With the mounting system I'm planning there shouldn't much box movement over the wheels. Scaling up the diagram in the body builders PDF for max deflection for a 35" tire I get 8.3" above the frame. I'm thinking 10" should be plenty, even allowing for the possibility of having to chain up - which seems unlikely.
I don't have enough weight on the empty flatbed to deflect the rear springs enough to get a measurement. I don't want to allow more clearance than necessary, but I sure don't want to find I didn't allow enough. Any input from those with experience would be appreciated.
I'm sure that there will be many more questions before this puppy is on the road.:coffeedrink:
