So yes, I am still playing with the shower idea.

If I use the Zodi, or even go with a Camplux, unless I fork over the bucks for a Joolca Ensuite plumbing kit, I will need to plumb the Ensuite with 3/8" tubing which I have.

Whether I use the Battery shower Zodi, or the full Zodi Hottap, it still would be awesome to be able to leave the shower plumbing in place and remove the pump.

So I am thinking, quick disconnect. Which are on the market aplenty for 3/4" garden hose fittings, and I may have to go with adapters, but I would like to go straight from hose barb --> QD Male --> QD Female --> hose barb.

Again, and I have tried to be as clear as I can about this, my entire goal here is to simplify, IF this won't make setting up and using the shower easier and my thought process is off, stop me before I do something stupid please!

I have used McMaster Carr before for some specialty bushings for woodworking equipment. They can be spendy, but often times, the only place to find what I need...

I think I solved my issue. Amazon has 3/8" quick disconnects intended for pressure washers, plus the 3/8 barb x 3/8 hose fittings. So I think I am golden there. I have a jar of paste thread sealant (I hate the tape)...

The idea for right or wrong, is to set up the shower plumbing and leave it in the ensuite. Quck connect either the pump, or the Zodi heater and pump, and more or less have a good go at a nice hot shower.

Just fwiw, I tested my solar bag shower today. It took 2 hours in direct afternoon sun to produce an almost too hot stream of water. Heck that would work with a pump. BUT.... I really need a HOT shower when it it COLD outside and I am unsure the solar is going to be enough... And no I am not going to be lifting a 5 gallon bag overhead...

So here is the plan, for better or worse...

#1. Recieve the quick connects, and 3/8 barb to 3/8 MPT fittings (With clamps)
#2. Cut a 10' length of hi temp silicone 3/8 tubing.
#3. From the Zodi battery shower pump, remove the shower head. Install onto 3/8" tubing using clamp if required.
#4. Apply pipe sealant to the male threads of the barb to MPT fittings. Thread into each side of the quick disconnects. Clean off any sealant that has oozed out.
#5. On the open end of the tubing install Hose barb / female QD assembly using clamp.
#6. On the Zodi Hottap, Remove shower head, stash this shower head in my spares. Attach Hose Barb / Male QD assembly using clamp. The Hottap already has been upgraded to 3/8" Hi temp braided PVC tubing.
#7. Cut a 5' segment of hi temp silicone 3/8 tubing. Set aside remaining 5' to my spares.
#8. To the 5' segment, Attach Hose Barb / Male QD assembly using clamp.
#9. On the Zodi battery shower pump, remove OE 3/8 plastic hose, replace with 3/8" Hi Temp silicone tubing with clamp.
#10. On all clamps, Wrap the clamps with 3 or 4 wraps of coaxial weatherproofing tape. I have lots of this in my toolbox. This will keep the loose tab end of the clamp from harming anything. Connect each half and test for leaks.
#11. Install Female end QD to Shower head hose assembly into the Ensuite, insuring there is a "service loop" of hose that I can pull down to wet up and rinse down the naughty bits.
#12. Pack Ensuite up, insuring the plumbing doesn't get caught up with anything, it shouldn't.

With this rig, I can set up the Zodi out within easy reach of the pass through zippered port, and operate it with no hesitation.

On setup I set up the Ensuite, water source bucket, route if needed the pump, and drop into the bucket. Insert batteries and secure control box. Make the outfeed connection to the Ensuite plumbing rig, and if needed fuel source and shower is ready. Move the toilet, toiletries, towels, and mirror in and we are ready for prime time...
