Removing fan on the J. Baroud

Thanks to OK4wd for getting my replacement fan out to me so quickly.
Now getting the thing off.
I removed the three nuts but the adhesive/silicone doesnt want to let loose.
Any suggestions? Can I remove the guts from the new fan and install them in the old housing by any chance?
That sure would make things easier and I avoid damaging the fiberglass.

If you haven't already figured it out, I had the same failure, and the same problem removing the old one. What worked really well was a long thin razor blade like the ones in those mini utility knives, the kind wit scored blades so you can break off the dull part. Carefully slide it underneath against the roof and cut the silicone sealant. It was really easy to do.
