Updated the build list. Here are some of the pics I took over this past summer.

Here are a few from a camping trip to Northwestern MA.

The last weekend in June I replaced my radiator, stripped and repainted my sliders, stripped and painted my bumper and installed my Engo winch I got from the group buy.

After pulling the bumper, and sliders, getting ready to pull the radiator.

What the sliders looked like prior to stripping them.

Down to bare steel

After some primer

Back on the X

New VS Old Radiator

Why I changed it, it was starting to separate from the tank and leak.

All buttoned up with the winch installed and working.

Remotely mounted the solenoid for the winch

The group that showed up to help

I ended up doing a ton of work over the four days. Removed the sliders and front bumper and skid. Stripped the sliders, primed and bedlined them. Had the front bumper sandblasted, stripped the skid and applied POR15, and painted. Removed and installed new radiator. Filled and bled the cooling system. Installed the winch, remotely mounted the solenoid and reinstalled the bumper.

July 11th 12th and 13th, Mainline Overland put on The Mid Atlantic Overland Festival in Huntingdon PA, which is just outside State College. Was a great event and a lot of amazing rights there. Got to meet some incredible people and tour some of the most beautiful areas of PA including Bald Eagle State Forest. Was about a six hour drive to get out there from Western MA. Left around 0430 and the drive went by fast with the help of some great music.

I arrived around 1030/1100 on Friday. The rig in front of was a killer Ford Excursion that was really well built.

Home for the weekend

Checking out some of the vendors in the vendors section

Friday after set up, a couple other Xterra guys and I just chilled, share brews and stories. Saturday, we went to the vendor area and talked with the guys manning the Purple Lizard Maps booth and set a route to explore.

Saw the gorgeous 80 Series diesel Land Cruiser

After a little drive on the road we hit Bald Eagle State Forest

The trail were all stock friendly two tracks. Never had to put it into 4 wheel drive. But the views we got to see were amazing.

Sunday was mainly pick up and say good bye to all the new friends we made. Overall it was a great event.

Had a night off and was bored. I decided to replace my dead horn with a cheap Hi/Lo from Autozone and ended up walking out with some inexpensive LED strips that I decided to attach to the rear hatch to provide more light.

Install was super easy. The strip come with the good red 3M tape already in stalled. I sourced power and ground from the cargo area dome light. They are great. Throw a ton of light, shut of when the rear hatch closes. The dome light has an auto shut off after about 30 min. if you want the light to go back on all you have to do is open a door and boom they are back on. The work perfectly in tandem with the LED strip that is in my awning.

All together it made for a great inexpensive and useful mod.

Well the Funvee is going to be going through some changes over the next few weeks. Ive ordered all new suspension to include Radflo 2.5" Remote Resi Coilovers with 650lb Eibach springs, Alcan Spring full replacement leaf packs with 3" lift (might change the order to 4") and 600Lb over stock weight rating. Radflo 2.0" Remote Resi rear shocks. In addition to that I will be upgrading to stainless braided brake lines for the front, CNC radiator supports, PRG motor and transmission mounts, new LCAs, and PRG U bolt flip kit. I will also be adding a ARB Air locker to the rear, CKMTA12 Compressor, Insain Fab lower shock mount skids and heavier duty Hefty Fabworks or Schrockworks skid plates.
