Roadtrip: NJ to WA and back in a sprinter.

Hello,
This will be mostly a short n sweet photo posting experiment via tapatalk.

In August my brother visited from Belfast (Northern Ireland). He’s been coming out for years and we always stay around the NJ / NY metro area. This time around I figured I’d show him a bit more of my adopted home land and save our livers in the process.

We loaded up the van with sleeping bags and my 9 year old bull terrier and hit the road west the day after he arrived.

We did mostly interstates until Kansas and then began to detour and explore.

In Colorado, we slowed down even more. Staying on BLM land and exploring around Salida & Leadville.

We spent a night at the Amigo Motor Lodge in Salida, to refresh shower and give my dog a break.

My brother flew back to NJ and then Ireland from Denver. Me and the dog continued on to Wyoming and Montana, with a couple of nights in Yellowstone:

I went through Yellowstone to Montana and continued towards Idaho to attend a fundraiser that an old military friend hosted.

At the fundraiser, I had the privilege of being thrown around like a rag doll by one of the best grapplers on the planet:

The grappler then had the privilege of hand feeding my shameless dog at the event afterwards:

I just realized I didn’t take pictures in Washington... but in truth, I only went there to pick up some participants in the fundraiser...

I didn’t hang around much on the drive home. Which included an encounter with rush hour in Chicago.

When I got back to NJ I had to take a quick trip back to Northern Ireland to take care of some family business. This meant reconnecting with my brother and spending some quality time with his two bullies.
