Rocky Mountain youth bike - any good?

Looks good to me. It has some good components for the price so if she beats the tar out of it you won't be out much. Worst case if she outgrows it you should be able to resell it and recoup some of the cost.

It looks like a good deal on a decent kids bike but unless your daughter is very small for her age I think it will be the wrong size. Usually a 20" wheel is for a 5-8 year old, my 8 year old son, who is a little big for his age, looks like he'll outgrow is 24" bike within the next year.

Seems like a good bike for the price, I love Rocky Mountain, I own two Rocky’s.
My kids both have Specialized hot rocks. Age 6 and 10, and they fit well.
Spend a little more on a good bike and it will repay you in the end.

Thanks for that, she's a little short, but not miniature. :)

I should probably look at a 24".

my son got a 24" i think just before 10. even so he did outgrow it just in time for my daughter to move into it. if they like to ride you'll be surprised how well they can handle a real bike and how fast they grow out of the little stuff.

Decided!

I have a Kona Hula 24" and a Scott Scale JR 24" on the way for my two daughters. They are both 2010 models and I got pretty awesome deals...in my opinion. The Kona is coming from a local bike shop in Tucson, AZ and the Scott is coming from REI.com, shipped to a local REI retailer for assembly.

My daughters are 10 and 12, but very petite for their age. Their mother is under 5' tall. If they outgrow the bikes too quickly, I'll just buy new and cycle these out to smaller family members.

One down, one to go!

My daughter's new Kona Hula next to my old, ugly ProFlex 856:
