Looks like a Defender rip-off/copy. And I'd agree with you, I'm guessing unless they're made with spare parts from popular vehicles... you're not going to find many spares here in the states. Honestly, Though rare, I'd fail to see what this vehicle has that you can't find in the states that will be far more reliable. Just my .02 so take it for what it's worth.

I want your input! Or I wouldn't ask! It's in decent shape...was thinking about putting a benz diesel in it....looks somewhat simple. I found online someone had put a jeep 4.0 in one. Just thought it was out of the norm and a pretty cool looking truck to do some light duty overlanding in.

Not a Defender rip-off, made in Romania for a very long time, great truck off road.

i remember these, i think i still have the sales brochure for the american import model. as i remember it was nothing more than an aro body on a jimmy/s-15 drivetrain, might be wrong but i think thats how it was. i also remember them using the 2.8 v-6 so maybe you found a gray market rig?

I thought about buying it, The thing that kept me away was the parts availibility. I thought it would be cool and different rig. Not an expo rig because again of the parts issue. I was told it came with a 2.5 and a 4 speed.
I think it sold and I deleted the pics, sorry.

Saw them in daily use in Romania. They beat the crap out of there vehicles and the roads are rough. I wished I could have brought one home. Then again that was before we could get small double cabs here. Still waiting on diesels though. The Romanians are no slave to fashion when it comes to auto design. Check out the Dacia...

ford and dependable don't really go together.:victory:

Very true... I mean, 200K miles without anything but oil changes isn't dependable at all... Seriously though, I really like that thing... Were they ever imported into the US? I love Ford's Cologne 4.0L V6, awesome offroad engine, mine has 170K abusive miles and starts every day and has no problem, what's the rest like? Does it use Ford's TTB system? Solid axles? I really want to know more about this thing!!

i married into a ford focus. it was the worse car ever. my wife bought it new and brakes, tires, and suspension (recall item), were replaced before 30K miles. it stalled out anytime the AC was on.

the transmission wouldn't shift anymore at 52K miles, the paint was cracking, and the trunk would not open when we traded it in for a Mitsubishi diamante.

Ford Quality = replacing everything and trading up to Japanese.
