Roof color on wedge canopy camper

I have a wedge canopy camper on order from a company and they mentioned you would be able to choose which orientation your wanted your roof panel. It’s black on one side, white on the other.

My thinking is, while it would be nice to have white on the inside to have it a bit brighter/more open feeling when you’re in the bed with the wedge popped open, having the white be on the outside the roof of the camper would help keep the inside of it cooler.

Anyone else think that might be the right way to go? I have additional led lights I’ll be adding in.

I haven't heard any complaints about darker roofs making the inside hotter, but I suppose it makes sense? However, I will say from personal experience having a white interior really opens up the space visually in the tight quarters of our wedge campers!

I agree with this or add some GacoRoof, or similar, over the black to prevent heat buildup.
