roof lights wiring

Hi,

I am planning to install 4 pencil beams on the roof of my FZJ80 Land Cruiser. What is the best way to connect the wires to the removable roof rack or light bar? How did you do it?
Years ago I have just run a wire through the weather-stripping on my FJ60 like shown on the photo, but there must be a better way?

I just used the hole that was drilled for the antenna of the cellular phone......

Yeah, you could drill a hole in the roof and use a liquid tight fitting.

When I removed my factory rack I left two holes unwelded so that I could run the wiring for the new racks lights through them. Just used a fitting like what was posted and it worked great.

If you have a snorkel or plan on getting one, running the wiring up the snorkel is another option.
