The fiberglass exterior is far superior to some of the full canvas versions for two reasons. One the gas millage is improved when driving at highway speeds, due to the aerodynamic shape and surface of the tent when it's closed. The second reason is the effectiveness of this tent when it's open. This design is very warm in cold weather, while allowing for ventilation for hot days, it's also capable of withstanding much stronger wind gusts than it's less expensive counterparts. The tent can be raised and lowered in a few minutes with a foolproof hand crank. It comes with a high quality lightweight ladder that can be stowed in the tent for travel. Inside there is a comfortable mattress and two pillows. The tent is perfect for two people. This tent can be mounted on almost any vehicle using a Thule or Yakima rack system. It's recommended to use three load bars. This tent is available for local pickup, shipping is really expensive on these, I think I paid around $700 to get it here.
