So it looks like the whole roof is covered in 1/4 plywood. I wonder how much weight that would add to my popup instead of the crap aluminum there now.

Im just sayin it would mayby be good if a guy was building new and didnt know how to fiberglass.....

EPDM is used on houses and commercial roofs I believe. I doubt most roofers are putting it down over virgin wood. Wonder if they use a different adhesive.

Sometimes it is really cost effective to re-roof than to repair. But nonetheless, roofing projects are indeed expensive. You just need to know which material is more appropriate to your need so you need not replace roof every so often.

I have thought about building an "offroad" teardop type camper for a long time. I think this would work well for the curved roof.

Could it be used for the siding as well? Any ideas for a better option?

I worked as a roofer many years ago. We would prime old wood with an asphalt product when using sheet "rubber" products. I'm sure they have more advanced ways to prime wood now though.
