Sadly, time for the 3rd gen runner to find a new home

It is with a very heavy heart that I say that I am selling my 3rd gen. After speaking to the wife, we decided that it may be best to get into something a bit newer, larger and maybe a bit safer. I have found a '10 5th gen trail that I think fits the bill perfectly but I cannot afford 2 car payments. I bought my 3rd gen bone stock almost three years ago and have poured blood, sweat and tears, as well as plenty of dough and man hours into turning this truck into what I knew it could always be. The only saving grace to the situation is that I'd be getting into another 4runner.
The truck is located in Colorado Springs and I would love to see it go to another enthusiast who I can trust will take the best care of it. I will also post a thread up in the classifieds, but please help a brother out finding this beautiful machine a good new home. I'm just curious, how is going from a 2001 3rd gen 4Runner safer that an '10 5th Gen 4Runner?

with the extra size, airbags and safety features of the 5th gen, the wife feels safer in the 5th. plus the KDSS makes for a much more sound on road experience. the extra back seat room is also a huge plus as well.

But wanted to say that this is a beautiful vehicle! I's exactly what I had been looking for...a month ago! I just purchased a 2001 with 126k miles on it and will be doing a bunch of the modifications you list. Good luck with the sell, it will make someone very happy.
