Safari Trailers

Safari Trailers

Does anyone know if this company is still in business? I would like to order one of their "accessories" but it doesn't look like their website has been updated since 2005 and so far no responce to email.

I like the jerry can holder they offered.

I know Adventure Trailers makes a really nice one but weight is an issue and I like the four corner bolt configuration of the Safari Trailer model.

I will probably end up going with AT if I can't find a source for these.

This is what I'm looking at doing. Post #16

Safari Trailers were the original importers of Conqueror Trailers. They went out of business around 2003. They used to import lots of great South African made product like camp chairs, tables, etc.

It's strange that they have kept the website live after all of these years.

Call Dean and see if he has an extra or two to sell you. They are nice holders.

If you can't find one and you like that dessign that much, One could pop that holder out in the garage in no time. Use some EMT tubing from Lowe's. That's a simple design. I personally like the AT version better, there's has a lot more can protection

As a last resort I was thinking of buying a welder and making one out of angle iron. I don't have a tube bender (or welding skills).

Back to the drawing board.

email from Dean
There is a good jerrycan holder used on the conquerors but I don't have spares
as they don't break might be able to get one manufactured by machine shop

Took less then an hour for him to respond.

It's thicker gauge than emt; I can stand on them. And I'm a pretty big goon...

You could stand on one made out of EMT too. There is enough tubing in that lil rack that it's going to hold some weight and pressure. You can stand on a quad's rack and it won't give either and they are just about as light weight.
