SAR City 2009

Hi,
Is anyone here attending SAR City 2009?
or
Has anyone attended a past SAR City event?

I'm curious to know what it is like, how many people usually attend.

I've been to a bunch of them - when I lived in California I'd pretty much go every year, and I presented a few classes over the years. I haven't gone since 2004 so things may have changed a bit.

They're a blast. Very loosely organized, a couple dozen different things going on at the same time. If you don't like what you're in, get up and go to another! They have some areas to camp out, but watch out about camping on the grass: The sprinklers go on around midnight.

The Saturday night activity is usually pretty good - an auction, some presentations, etc. The vendors areas are often good too, especially on Sunday when they're packing up and want to not take stuff home

I wish that they had one closer. Sounds like it would be a lot of fun.
