whats everyone running for measuring or modifying ecm fuel etc on the 7.3 diesels?
heres a review someone wrote on the interweb, only one so looking for more
\thell me what you have and why, or which you plan to run, thx

REVIEW:
Scanguage uses the maf sensor to calculate economy which is useless on a diesel
I had one and if you own a diesel fuel economy won't work. Scanguage uses the maf sensor to calculate economy which is useless on a diesel.

ScanGauge2 works fine for mpg with diesel. It calculates mileage with VSS, injector PW, etc. I like mine and use it a lot on a 2002 CC DRW PSD.

1995 is a weird year for OBD, especially diesels since emissions standards were different for heavier rigs.

1994 were all OBD1 so no Scangauge compatibility
1996 were all OBD2 so full Scangauge compatibility

1995 is kinda hit-n-miss with being the transition year

Scan gauge II works for my 02 7.3 but the mileage seems to get a bit wonky when I play with my TS chip and it takes a tank or two of running on the same chip setting for it to get accurate readings again.

The SG2 is reading some data my 96 but I had to force it with the PWM option. I'm missing the oil data. Does anyone know about special codes on these?

I have used the following x-gauge codes (these arent listed on the website) for the 7.3 PSD below with success. I believe I had to reconfigure one of them but I cant remember which one. If one of the doesnt work, let me know and Ill check my SG II and update it here. There are more on the scan gauge website that work as well. Its a bit tedious to program it but once done its worth it.

These are the code that I have working on mine.

Coolant Temp:

NAM: ect

The value displayed by this XGauge is only valid after the coolant temperature gets above

127* F. Before the engine is warmed up the displayed value will go up to 255 about double

actual then starts over at 127. This is becasue this PID is scaled for two different ranges. It

works good on my 2000 7.3 and seems to be accurate. This has been a long sought after

XGauge for the 7.3 crowd for quite some time.

This is a good way to see how long your glow plugs are staying on. They will stay on for

quite a while after the engine is running and the glow plug (wait to start) light has gone out.
