To anyone that is going to reply with, “just spend the money it’s worth it,” save it. I’ve had SM’s in the past and they are great.

I have a 99 Ford E350 7.3 short bus and need a new drivers seat that will be used for one trip. Total seat time will be about 20 hours, hence I don’t need a $1500 seat. Was wondering what the consensus is on another comfortable seat would be. Air ride seats are not worth the hassle for this project. Thoughts?

Sparco, Recaro, Corbeau? Mastercraft suspension seats, PRP suspension seats, cheapy Smittybuilt/Rugged Ridge seats.

I look at our local classifieds for used seats regularly and there are always options from nearly free to very expensive.

If you want one cheap seat for one short trip, buy a generic seat from a totaled car and mount it up.
