Looking forward to seeing people at the event. We will try to hang around the Toyota at the start of the morning and at the end or the day

Hey Todd and all....
I will be up there with my 2 sons, Nathan (older) and (Martin) from Wed afternoon through Sunday am....

My younger son Martin is focused on meeting folks with info about career paths to working on race teams (about to start college from Mech Eng)
He is looking to meet up with engineers and racing folks if he can find some.

I and my older son Nathan are just looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones.

As you know, there will be plenty of those types there for Martin to meet. My best advice from a non-SEMA standpoint is for him to join the Society of Automotive Engineers when he starts college. Get involved with their Mini-Baja or Formula SAE programs. SAE provided the start for my career and I'm still a member 28 years later and have many connections through it with automotive industry colleagues.

Back on topic - I have a longtime acquaintance/fellow engineer that would be just the guy to talk to - I'll reach out and see if you guys can make a connection...

x2. The SAE Mini-Baja really sparked my interest in racing. I had been into motorsports long before engineering school but Mini-Baja really kicked off my want, need and desire to be involved in racing.

Lance, it sounds like your son will have an easy time finding his way into the automotive world. If I can think of anyone there that would be beneficial for him to meet, I'll hit you up. I'm not sure if Ted Moncure will be there, I'll ask him. Ted was the head engineer at TRD USA and now took a position with Pro-Comp to bring some new tech to their product line. Beyond his engineering career, Ted is super involved in desert racing with his Long Beach Racers crew. Solid guys!

Todd that would be huge...thanks and Martin is looking forward to joining us in Baja for the Mexican 1000
Martin is very interested in Formula SAE, he went down and talked to the current ASU Formula team last Saturday to see if he could source them anything at SEMA.

Kurt, cool pic and good to know Baja SAE had that kind of impact...would be nice to intro you to my son if we can meet up.

Keep the pictures rolling. ARB Facebook posted some nice shots of their new Tacoma and bumper!

My buddy Steve is an engineer with Voodoo, they have a booth I believe. We went to school together and he's pretty young and into the engineering side of racing. He would be good to chat with.
