Sequoia question

Is the second row seat in the Sequoia removable? Either section or both.

Also, timing belt or chain on the 4.7 V8?

Any unusual things to check before buying?

The tranny in the minivan bought the farm this weekend and we're considering a used Sequoia as a replacement since we need room for 2 adults, 3 growing kids, a 75lb. dog, our Engel 45 and various gear.

TIA

I am not sure what year you are looking at, I would got 04 or newer, the early models had some tranny issues. I have not tried to remove the middle seats as of yet so I am not sure how easily they come out. The 3rd row comes out very easily.

The 4.7 has a timing belt that is recommended to be done around 80-90k miles, but I have seen people go much longer.

We love out 04 Limited 4x4, it isn't easy on gas, but rides great. We have 8 people in it last week and everyone was comfortable.

Check out this website for more info.

We have an 05 heavily optioned SR5 and its great. We've got the exact same mix of kids and dogs. For everyday around town its great, and we've taken some long trips in it, but you may want to invest in a thule box if you're going to leave all 3 rows in.

Ditto: 1 dog, 3 daughters, 2 parents. The Sequoia is great. We've pulled our 6000lb travel trailer all over California with ours. So far, not a hitch. A couple of little things have broken over the past 5 years, but nothing major. Good luck!
