Service Pod Build

I'm new to the forum and very much enjoying the content this site provides for so many ideas.
My quick question and topic is this...has anyone used a Service Pod (removable drop in type) as a overlanding alternative to a camper shell or flippac?
Seems you could do a dedicated build and just drop the prepacked unit in for weeks of adventure and remove when needed for normal truck operations.

If i have posted in the wrong thread or area, please direct me to the proper place for this type info. I trust everyone had a stellar holiday and a Happy New Year to come!

There have been a few posting where individuals used similar “pods”. Most of them have been placed onto a trailer.

I think trailers are a great idea. The flexibility of a pod system for trailer or pickup bed is huge. Maybe the next trip is in a friends truck or you upgrade your truck and don't have to worry about gear mounted in last truck. I am searching them out now. I have seen the pickup utility beds made into trailers, but never seen the removable, turnkey pod used for exploring, hunting, or overlanding. Maybe I just missed the posts

Not my trailer. This is the best photo I have found of the concept.

I like that image. Thanks so much. I am still thinking about using in a pickup truck bed application.
Like a backpack. Have it ready for adventure, and drop it in whenever your ready to roll. It stays ready all the time, but i can use my PU for normal use day to day. Also, you can place it in any 6.5 bed pickup, so if a buddy's truck is better for a certain trip you could load it into his bed.
