Not much off road trekking here, but I'm settled down in Chokoloskee, FL. for the time being. At least til the end of June when my lease is up on my RV spot. I'm on the water and across from my spot are the 10,000 Islands. I'm having a great time kayak fishing all over the area. I'm part time guiding for Everglades Kayak Fishing, so I have access to boats too. Sometimes I take a boat to get the kayak to more remote spots and that's what the business does. It uses motherships to transport kayak anglers to places it would take days to paddle too. I also brought a kayak trailer with me and I keep 1 of the 5 kayaks I brought with me on it ready to go. I love heading into the backcountry where boats can't get too.
I'm here because it's a lot nicer then my native NJ at this time of year and the isolation is good for my present project that I'm finnishing. A book on kayak fishing. After June I plan on a trip to Alaska, kayak fishing, and then I'll be trekkin' again. At this moment I'm planning on a few to several months in Baja, but that could change. Anyway if anyone gets down this way give a hollar.
