Shadowkross' 2000 Tundra AC Build

Hello everyone, I'm new to ExPo and recently picked up a 2000 AC Tundra from a buddy of mine who's family had the truck since new! This is my first Tundra, but not my first Toyota, I previously had an 86 Pickup and an 85 4Runner with quite a bit of work done. I also had, for a short stint, a 2005 Titan with a few baja style modifications. Anyways, I got the truck a couple weeks ago and it's in pretty good overall condition. The guy I got it from used it as a race truck for a few years, so it's got a few performance goodies on it now; Rear locker (unsure of brand), unichip, JBA headers, Volant intake, and a nice aftermarket transmission cooler. The transmission was replaced with a reman unit less than 1k miles before I purchased it. The truck has 220k miles on it and I couldn't be more excited to start a build on it!

Heres one pic of it, unfortunately that's all I've got of it at the moment, between being out of town for the holidays and not having much daylight outside of work hours I haven't been able to snap any pics of it. Hopefully soon that will change!

So as far as mods go, it needs a few things as soon as possible:
Lower control arm bushings, tires, and some basic maintenance.

But in the future, the tentative mod list is pretty much the basics for an all around expedition rig;
Coilovers, upper control arms and bigger brakes in the front (this still has the older style calipers on it, definitely needs the upgrade)
The rear is most likely just going to be a shackle flip, extended shackles, and a wheelers AAL with extended length shocks, maybe an ARB in the future if budget allows
Sliders
Bumpers
Bed rack
And I'm still undecided on wheels and tires. I'd like 35's and will most likely end up tubbing the firewall for them to fit but I'll tackle that as it comes.

I ordered some lower control arms mainly for ease of install instead of doing bushings in the front, picked up a used set of some 265/75r16 fuzion tires to get me around for a bit, and some 2" front leveling spacers to get me out on a few of the more mild trails around here for the time being. Hopefully around tax time next year is when all the fun goodies will start being ordered!

I'm glad to be a part of this forum now, and looking forward to my build and checking out the wealth of other awesome builds around here! :)

Any suggestions of tried-and-true mods is very welcome, I've been poking around quite a few build threads lately and there's plenty of information to take in!

As a side note, I can't post images from Flickr, is that a post count issue?

This past weekend I got the lower control arms on, the front 2" leveling spacers on, tires installed and the truck aligned, and just a few minutes ago I got it to emissions and it passed! Last step is to get the title transferred and actual plates on the thing so I can take it out! Then maybe I can finally get some more pics in this thread.

Nice to see more tundras on here. Should replace the LBJ of you haven't already. Recommend using Toyota OEM brand. Otherwise can't wait to see more photos and your build.
