I well remember these by the thousands as we camped throughout the US as a kid in the 1960s and early 1970s... Not something I'd want to own, but it's nice to see they're appreciated.

Good for them. There's definitely a market, since these days any old worn-out beatdown POS camper on Craig's List is officially "vintage".

(I remember a CL "Best Of" post that listed rules for ads. One of the rules was, "If it was a piece of crap when new, then it's NOT vintage. It's just an old piece of crap.)

Bump. Any more feedback on these? I looked at a couple in San Angelo this weekend. Outside only. The build quality looked a little rough. Uneven seams. Poor trim work. And I still want one...

We looked at one in Temecula. Thought they'd be really cool to own since I'm a boomer that can relate to 'em. But you're right Bluedog225, the door latch for the tiny bathroom was broken, the seams in the interior wood was rough, and pushing on the ceiling panels yielded a soft give that didn't feel right. Looked good on the outside, though. I think it was made cheap to keep the cost low (shipped to California they were running at $17,000). We decided it wasn't for us.
