Sheath

Yesterday spent some time putting together a new sheath for my favorite knife. This old fixed blade was bought by my mother when she was a teen. She asked her Dad for a knife and he tried to disuade her by saying "you'll have to buy it with your own money"... Instead that persuaded her to get her first paying job and she bought this, through mail order... sometime in te early '40s

Or so the story goes.

The deer hide is from a 2013 doe, harvested on our land, cleaned and skinned with this knife.
