I bought a used topper for my Tundra last week from a Craigslist and the only complaint I have about it is there are no interior or overhead lights inside.

Can you guys post up some pictures of your shell/topper interior lighting setups for so I can get a few ideas of what works best?

Thanks

There are alot of new LED light setups that came available over the last year. Sorry I don't have pictures.

Some are hardwired others are battery operated.
Truxedo, Extang, Access, Anzo, Putco just to name a few brands.

But you can also go down to radioshack and pick up a 3 pack of these little LED battery operated ones for like $10 bucks.

I would just toss a few of the Sylvania DOT push lights that last forever on a couple of AAA batteries. Simple, cheap, effective.

I got some 12 volt LED Ropelight from Cabela's over the summer...two 6 foot strands I think. I have yet to wire them up with a complete re-design/rebuild of my sleeping platform, however they're plenty bright, and should be easy to mount.

I did this...

I would just toss a few of the Sylvania DOT push lights that last forever on a couple of AAA batteries. Simple, cheap, effective.

First I epoxied big metal washers to the roof. Then stuck the magnetic tape on the back of the light pucks....

Easy to move lights around, and an instead flashlight if I pull it down.

I replaced the stock light in mine with an LED from a trailer supply shop I found on eBay. I wired it right into the stock wiring and used the stock switch. It put out a ton more light than stock and I can easily add some more if I want.

If you have a local Ikea, check out the Dioder light strips. They aren't waterproof, but the very bright and *surprise* are 12 volt. Just cut off the AC adapter, fuse, change the switch if you desire and go.

Lots of cool stuff you and do with them.

2X on the thumbs up on the Ikea LED strips...

I can personally recommend the Ikea dioder LED strips...
Easy to install... Just cut the transformer off and wire direct to 12vdc.
Comes with a lot of extra cables for many mounting options.
I chose the multi-color set (sets come either white or multi color)
I used a strip straight down the center of my camper roof... lights the entire camper up nice and bright... multi color lets me choose from white or yellow for normal use and red for night vision...:sunny:
My 12yr old son likes the setting that changes them through all the colors... like disco lights:shakin:
