Shipping a Trailer from San Jose to Denver?

Observer
I bought a Sportsmobile trailer thinking it would be easy to get it out to me by December but everything has fallen through and now I'm stuck looking at shipping companies.

The trailer is small (10lx6wx3.5h) and I'm guessing about 800lb. The shipping quotes are ridiculous, so I'm looking for other legitimate avenues. I'm not quite at posting on craigslist, so I thought I'd ask the trailer people here what my best option to move this trailer might be before I get really desperate. I don't mind it getting towed, but I don't know where to post for assistance. In lieu of that if anyone has successfully used a shipper that isn't going to break my budget I wouldn't mind hearing that also.

How much are they wanting if you don't mind me asking?

I had my tear drop shipped to me and it was around 1000 from CA to WA.

Third vote for UShip.com, I used it to get a trailer to CO from AZ and it worked out great. My backup plan was one of the ih8mud vendors who runs a cargo trailer around the country.

If you have a little time and don't get the price you want from your first auction just post it up again. I was averaging $500 bids on my first auction... made a couple tweaks to the posting/dates/etc and accepted a $300 bid on the 2nd auction.
