"Should I buy this 2003 Chevy Express 1500 AWD for $6500" Hey guys i've been looking at getting a van thats all wheel drive so I can drive back home to Tahoe in the winters, put surfboards in it and camp at motocross races. The van has 172k miles and New front tires and ball joints. Is $6500 a good deal? or should I pass on it. Any help or input would be appreciated

I just bought a 2007 with barn doors on both sides and only 186,000 KM. That's around 120,000 miles. It is a loaded passenger van with after market nav.
I paid $9500 Canadian. About $7600 USD.
So your deal sounds so-so to me, if everything works and it isn't all beat up. But I would try for $6000 or even less.
Why just new front tires. I have been told that there needs to be very little difference in the tire diameter or it will screw up the AWD system. That would mean changing all tires at the same time, with the same kind of tire.

Sounds to me like you got a screamin deal. I haven't seen an AWD model for less than $10k.

I bought it in Manitoba. They seem to be about $3k less than Alberta. Good number to choose from too.
