Should I take a hint from my dog?

Either he's really, really ready for duck season next week or he hates your new living room lamps.

What kind of call was it?

It was an RNT that my grandpa gave to my dad 20 years ago with his name (same as mine) engraved in the band, but my dad can not (or will not) blow a duck call so it was handed down to me. It was basically in perfect condition but now it's not.

I was "practicing" earlier in the day, dog did not approve apparently.

I'm leaning more towards the Santa Clause theory...as in "He knows when you are sleeping...".

Funny thing is, I always left that particular call off my lanyard because 1) it was passed down and 2) I never felt I could do it much justice. Now on Saturday I felt like I was finally starting to get a handle on it and was planning on taking it out for the opener this weekend. I even put it back in it's neoprene "call coozie" to keep it from getting too dinged up, just hadn't hung it from the lanyard yet.

I'm going to get a hold of RNT this week to see if they can salvage the brass band and possible fit it to a new call.

D**n dog better save me a few trips into the cold water at some point in his life. ;)
