Designing a ladder for the rear of my 80 Series TLC. I will fit it to a Kaymar bumper. I need to see ideas. Could you please post a photo of what you have?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for, we use a Compact Folding Aluminum "Plate" Ladder.
When Folded it is 2" x 3¼" x 84½" 12 lbs. Its available from Garvin Ind. "Wilderness Racks".
I don't think its on their website, but if your interested give Garvin a call.

We have our ladder attached to the side of our roof rack.

I did the following on a previously owned Hummer. It swings out of the way to the passenger side. It is free standing and does not touch the roof rack.

Here is the ladder on my Jeep.

I have the "Dutch" style doors on the back of my Astro Van:

My plan is to build something like the Gobi ladder for the Xterra:

Mine will clamp on to the upper hatch the same way the Gobi attaches to the Xterra's hatch, but will extend down close to the bumper. Since the upper door has to open first, this will swing the ladder up out of the way allowing me to open the lower doors...

heres mine

Now, correct me if I am wrong, but this set up wit the rear tire will completely negate the chances of you removing the camper from the truck without disassembly of the tire mount. Right? I mean you did mention previously that you barely got the thing in there with the height of the truck...

Thanks

Yeah that was one of those " well crap...." moments :sombrero:
