Hey All!
I went hunting and slept in this bad mf'er for 3 days within the first 2,000 miles of ownership
The incline was kinda troublesome (-12”
so in my FEA (finite element analysis) class I designed a sleeping/storage platform.
The final design is 68.5" long with a capacity target of 500 lbs with a safety factor of 3.
The best design weighs about 66lbs with the frame and platform in two pieces. It has a safety factor of 3.129. It was made from 2X4s and a ⅜ plywood.
I have not built it yet but hope to do the lake superior tour and sleep on it!
