Slide in Camper Jacks. Really???

Okay, can somebody tell me why camper jacks are so incredibly expensive??

A set of basic manual tripod crank jacks are $500+ :Wow1:

Im using 2 old school "death trap" cable tripod jacks right now. I think Ill just build two more, and save a pile of $$

Less than $50 in steel, a $25 boat trailer winch, and $10 cable (each)

Anybody else consider custom fabricated jacks? Any pics? :ylsmoke:

That's why I had to find/buy mine on Craigslist. Spent $60 on a set of manual jacks.

I have no idea why they are so expensive.

They are RV specific parts. Nothing else needs to be said. They are expensive because people pay what they ask....just like most expedition specific equipment.

I see them on Craigslist all the time. There are a few for sale in the Maryland , Baltimore Rv section. under 50 bucks most of the time.

i built a system that uses 4 hydraulic cylinders, a hand pump and a pvc pipe reservoir. a friend welded up some brackets and the whole thing cost me about 500 bucks with the steel, cylinders, pump, hoses and manifold with gauge.
