Sliding bed tray

Does anybody have any experience with a sliding bed tray available in Europe made by a company in Germany called Antec? They make a nice bed tray that mounts to the utilitrack channels in the bottom of the bed. They only list fitment for the Navara D40, not the Frontier. I have been asking around and there seems to be a difference of 20 mm in the distance between the tracks, the Navara is 777 mm and the Frontier is 797 mm. But, not in all cases, a guy in Australia measured his Navara (Spanish built) for me and his was 797. I've had replies back from the UK and theirs seems to be 777. There is no distributor in the US, so I have to get it from the mfgr or a seller in the UK. If it doesn't work out, I'd hate to be saddled with returning it. Shipping is expensive! Here's an image from Antec's website.

Seems like a variation on the Bedslide available here in the US. I don't know if they have one for a frontier, but a while back when I looked at them I was surprised at the diversity of options.

Does look like a cool little unit ... just for grins, I went and poked around on Bedslide's website (www.bedslide.com) and they have a 'Fit My Truck' option (at the top) ... which shows selections for the Frontier 6' bed from '05-'07 and '09-'13. Only Titan selections for '08, interestingly. I don't know the exact differences, but if I were an '08 owner, I might be tempted to still give it a shot if it looked like it would meet my needs.

Any reason for picking the Antec unit over these guys?

I have a 2012 Crew Cab with a 5' bed. The way I read it, Bedslide doesn't have an option to fit. This Antec unit secures to the floor of the bed using T-Nuts in the Utilitrack channel. No drilling or modifications necessary.

I can't seem to be able to find any appropriate steel channel for the roller tracks. Garage door channel is too wobbly and doesn't fit the wheels very tightly. I've tried Grainger, McMaster, etc. 4' HD drawer slides might work, but they're not cheap for substantial ones. Besides they're only strong in one direction, I'd have to add another set for side to side stability. Other solutions end up being too thick, taking up too much volume.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this thing. Worst case, I'll have to drill my own mounting holes that align with the tracks in my bed. I'm convinced I'll not have to return it.

hmm very cool. this would reduce the need of me crawling all the way into my bed to get access of my toolbox when i leave my soft topper up.

...although the price of a bedslide is $1400+, perhaps grabbing an ARB, lift, winch, or rear bumper would be worth climbing in and out of the bed :smiley_drive:

The issue I have with them is that they raise the bed several inches so what you gain by using the rest of the bed you loose with the decreased height.

You can make one using cam follower bearings and 2" aluminum channel.
