How much snow is there now? We were up there about 11:00 and it was coming down in buckets.

When I was up there between 5 and 7 pm it was lightly snowing at the very top but other that it just plain windy and cold. I'll get my pictures up in a bit.

When you where up there did you notice a stuck Nissan Frontiner off one of the side trails?

No didn't see that. Being early in the day and the middle of the week we saw almost no one. In fact from the Farmington beaver ponds until you come on to the main bountiful road we busted the trail all the way over. There hadn't been anyone up there.

It was 96* today..*sigh*

I just LOVE snow. I'll have to live vicariously through others pictures for now.

Not too long from now you wont have to go too far for snow.

Chiricahua Mountain area.

I know it does not look like it but I am standing in 6" of snow on one of the four peaks on Fourpeaks.

A drive up to the four corners area does not take too long.

This is the guy that got stuck. The vehicle was stuck after you ascended the mountain at the ponds along the side trail to the right as soon as you get up there. No one was around but there were a number of vehicle tracks.

Too bad they weren't around. Always fun to add a recovery to the story.

Several years ago we went up Old Ward Canyon and ran across an H2 that was stuck out in the middle of the field at Buckland flats. We walked down to ask if we could try to recover him (H2's are a jeep guys dream when it comes to recoveries)

It took two of us to get him out and he was very grateful. He told me he had just contacted a tow company and they wanted 600 bucks. Then he asked me what I would charge him. I told him the ability to post the pics on the internet was payment enough. :D

Pics of that recovery.
The mess he was in when we rolled up.

Looking at it from the recovery point.

Two of us hooked together to keep enough traction that the winch would work.

Almost out

The funny thing is he told me he just bought the H2 and the only reason he was there was the dealer told him it would go anywhere.

The stupidity of certain people is unbelievable.
