Softtopper

Just bought a Softtopper, did my research seemed like a good idea, very fast shipping, not to hard to install, looks good... velcro, there has to be a better system than velcro! To attach a heavy top with velcro in the front and back crazy, my velcro has pulled off the rear already, the four hooks that help attach the sides rusting, six snaps rusting, I have only had it for a WEEK!!!! The softtopper is a good top, functionally very smart, durable, sleek looking, all around good top, hopefully softtopper will fix these few small problems asap! Good purchase

Velcro on the front? Mine had some snap-type nuts that the topper snaps to.

Yep, I love mine too. I'm going to replace the rear velcro with a wider version. Depending on the weather somedays it doesn't want to come down quite as far plus one side is starting to peel loose.

Good as place as any to ask this so here goes...

I plan on getting a CanBack but I am worried about the practicality and functionality of the thing. I know they are two different products but you guys with the Softoppers, do you like having a "soft" topper verses a fiberglass shell? I am trying to decide, soft or hard. Yes yes I know.....

allaroundpickup; from what I was told the velcro will not hold on the spray on liner so you would have to do snaps on the inside front, otherwise there shouldnt be any problems.

7wt; Fiberglass or softopper? softop: cant lock it, easy to remove and store when not wanted, not as weather tight as fiberglass, less weight, price.

I've had my softopper for about 2 years now. It's held up pretty well -- only 2 snaps broke (recently). I called softopper and they sent me some replacement snaps + the snap tool for free. I have Line-X on my bed, and the velcro strip by the cab only lasted about 1.5 years. The velcro strip on the outside of the tailgate (on the paint) is still very intact. Good product for the price. Very easy to take on & off.
