Solar Help

My daughter has a small electric remote start generator enclosed in her back yard. It is in a well ventilated storage box
she consistently forgets to charge the battery so I want to put a solar panel on it.
it sets in direct sunlight most of the day.
It uses a 12v 6.5AH 10HR Battery for cranking .
What size Solar Panel do I need and do I need a Solar Controller?

You can probably get it done for $20-40 and 5-10w of panel. Search for trickle chargers/maintainers that don't need a separate controller

But if you've got power out there could also just consider a hardwired battery maintainer?
