I ordered this truck to be a do-it-all family hauler, DD, travel/explorer rig, etc, and it has done so with amazing ease! However, I am overloaded with vehicles, and my '16 resolution is to finally get down to one vehicle and one Rover. I will be putting all the Rovers up for sale, and simply keep what is left as the last one. Back to the point, I have purchased a 4x4 van, and it will replace the 150 and the Sprinter. For those that don't know me, I have had several joint replacements and fusions, and it is time to travel and quit working on/restoring/modding so many vehicles (a life long hobby). The kids are doing great at home schooling, as we just this year entered the State sponsored Homeschool Charter School, which gives us the freedom to travel and roam! And we are taking advantage of same to the fullest!!
So, why should you buy this truck? It was ordered with what I felt were key options, then lightly modded to facilitate more ground clearance, and be a flexible travel rig. Original list price was $45,220 (details below), then I added a front leveling spacer by AirLift (steel spacer above strut so as not to interfere with any warranty items) and of course had the truck realigned. Then we fitted 285/75-18 A/T's (true 35") which provide great traction as well as being whisper quiet. I did not want the rear to sag whilst towing or being loaded, so I fit Timbren extended stops in the rear, which work great for this issue! Lastly, I fitted a Softopper bed cover, as well as a CanBack topper, and a trifold flat bed cover- buyer has his choice of any one of the three, or can have them all for an agreed upon premium. Also, front windows lightly tinted to match balance of vehicle.
Now, on the truck specs themselves:
