SOLD

1990 Volkswagen VW Multivan Vanagon Westfalia

UPDATE: Just put brand new BFG AT's on van & New Canvas 3 window tent

Only 170K miles

CALIFORNIA VAN its entire life (Orange County is the furthest north its ever lived)

The Bordeaux Red multivan is a hard to find model. Its similar to a Carat & Weekender. Basically its the best of both worlds put together.

It gives you the poptop without having to carry the weight of all the camping equipment. Westfalia's often don't have equipment that works or is leaking causing unknown rust.

This gives you the extra living space!

Automatic Trans, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Mirrors, A/C, Fold Up Table

Seats 7 comfortably, but the 2 jump seats can be removed in seconds. Not pictured but I have them and the trays that go behind them. I also have all the headrests for the back bench

Sleeps 4 easily

All curtains in van, interior VERY clean

If you know your Vanagons you know how rare and what your looking at.

The Good:
Runs Strong (have done 3 great trips this summer alone)
Have receipts from the owner since 2002
Clean Carfax
Heads redone under 30K miles ago
Tranny redone under 20K miles ago
Lots of work has already been done on van
Purchased new lift assist struts

$18500 OBO, make me an offer I'm ready to sell the van

Willing to make partial trades for nice 4x4 trucks

I love the Vanagon MVs but there nothing really rare about the "red" ones. Overall, there are fewer MVs than full Westy's but, then again, there are fewer people looking for them. +1 for the head re-seal and tranny. Rust always worries me, however, so I'd plan on pulling the windows and dealing with whatever is lying in wait... Luckily the MVs don't have the side utility ports (aka water entry locations)!

All that said, nice van and I hope it finds a loving home.
