The camper is for sale by itself ($25K) or you can buy it with the truck for ($60K) as a package. I cannot sell the truck before the camper.
I am wanting to upsize my camping setup with a trailer in the near future. It’s certainly going to be a tradeoff since this setup with the Four Wheel Camper can go just about anywhere and get excellent gas mileage (17-18 mpg at highway speeds ≥ 65 mph, or up to 22 mpg if at 45- 55 mpg.
I’m asking $27,000 for the Fleet Camper alone if you don't have need for the truck.CA. It’s nearly fully maxed out in options and is in great shape. A new unit is close to $40K now when specced with similar options. Plus, there’s the build time if you order new.
The Fleet Model is designed to fit mid-size trucks (e.g. Colorado, Canyon, Ranger, Tacoma) with a 6’ bed. This particular layout with Front Dinette, maximizes the interior storage. This unit was not optioned with the cassette toilet and hot water heater in order to maximize storage space. A small porta-potti does fit on the lower most cupboard if needed. I camp alone 95% of the time and I have more than enough storage space. Even with two people there's still plenty of storage room.
Power was more than sufficient for my use. The fridge is the biggest draw, but I never ran out of power with 2-6V batteries and 160W solar. That’s with running the fans periodically, or the furnace on cold mornings, charging phones, laptops, iPads, camera batteries, and also running Starlink Internet for an hour or two every other day. I did use a portable 150W panel on cloudy days or when parked in the shade and so could run the panel to a sunny location. There's also a DC-DC charger so that batteries are charging while driving.
Here are the specs on the camper:
2020 FourWheel Camper Fleet.
Front Dinette Layout
Smooth Aluminum Siding (Metallic Charcoal) exterior
8’ Fiamma Awning
Mechanical Camper Jacks
Yakima Roof Rack System (tracks, towers and cross bars)
Two powered vents (Fantastic Fan)
160W Solar (replaced with new panel May 2022)
Dual 6Volt Batteries (225Ah)
Forced Air Furnace with Thermostat
Traditional Wood Grain Interior
65 Liter Isotherm Fridge (AD/DC)
Standard Sink and Stove
Back up Camera
Two 10 lb Propane Tanks
20 G fresh water tank
30-amp shore power receptacle.
Thermal Pack
Additional items:
various storage shelves/sacks
Starlink Mount on roof track.
AT Overland RotoPax Holder with Gen 2 two-Gallon RotoPax Fresh water container (can also fit 2-gallon gas container)
Lift struts were replaced with 40lb struts for easier roof lift.
2019 Chevy Colorado Z71
The truck and camper are a great package and I always get lots of comments when I’m out camping. A ranger at Yellowstone wanted to buy it from me this summer, but I wasn’t ready to sell at that time. The truck and camper together would save you the hassle of installing the mounting hardware and power plug in your own truck bed.
Here’s a few specs on the truck:
2019 Chevy Colorado Z71 with 3.6L V6 (308 HP with 275 lb-ft torque)
23,500 miles
Extended Cab
6' bed
Heated seats and steering wheel
Apple Car Play / Android Auto
Wireless phone charging
Cruise control
2' receiver hitch with 4 and 7-pin connectors
Automatic locking rear differential
Trail Runner Package (this puts it between the Z71 and ZR2 with aluminum skid plates, rock slider rails, and blacked out grill from the ZR2’s Bison package)
Tires were replaced in 2022 with BFG K02 Load E. This made a big difference in stability and gas milage as well.
Has full-sized aluminum wheel spare (Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrack tire). I still have the original steel rim spare as well.
Hellwig Helper Springs on rear to level the load.
