so I'm not sure how this works. I can understand it protecting the hawse when the hook is pulled all in. But what then? When I'm winching can I pop it out of the hawse and let it ride on the line to act as a weight? Is it heavy enuf? Is that how it's supposed to be used? If so, I'll take it.



(edit) well I'm just so dang smart. That IS how daystar says it is supposed to work. Plus you can use it as a 'handle' to free spool line out. Not sure how much a 22 oz. weight is gunna stop the line from flying, but any little bit's gotta help I guess. Plus I'm running synthetic so no biggie.
