I'll take this as an opportunity to tell more of the story of this very well-built, yet lightly used 4x4 campervan.

The van was purchased by it's first owner as a brand new 2002 E350 2wd. It was purchased in Northern California and was immediately shipped to Pennsylvania to have four wheel drive installed by Quigley International. In 2004 the van was sent to Ed Andersen of Adventurewagen in Fort Bragg, CA. I've read that Ed built a fleet of Ford Adventurewagens for National Geographic. Jimmy Buffet has one. Ed and his "merry band of woodworkers" rebuilt the interior of the van with the premium Adventurewagen package, adding hardwood flooring, teak and mahogany hardwood cabinetry, a custom-designed fixed fiberglass top (again I read that Ed was an aerospace engineer and designed and built these tops using a wind tunnel). Only the best quality components and craftsmanship was used. These vans were the absolute top-of-the-line overland vehicles based on the Ford E350 chassis. This is not a pop-out, vinyl-wrapped-particle board-Sportsmobile crap. It is not a Sprinter van. It has live Dana 60 axles front and limited-slip in the rear.

I am the third owner. The first owner owned the van until 2012 and had put less than 10,000 miles on it. It was sold to a traveling physician in Colorado who drove it between hospitals in Leadville, CO and Lincoln Nebraska. He put another 30,000 miles and then I was lucky enough to purchase it from him in CO.

The van is lightly used, is in great shape and has most of it's useful life left in it. It currently has just over 80,000 miles on it. I used it to drive to the beach and work out of it. It has never really been off-road for any extended period of time.

I don't have to sell it but it makes sense because I will be out of the country for an extended period. Whoever is fortunate enough to own this vehicle next is going to be EXTREMELY happy with it. It is a gem! Everywhere I go with the van, people always stop to ask about it and take a closer look.

With that said the $70,000 price that I am asking is negotiable. I did my research. I found a number of rigs, like Sportsmobiles, etc., of similar age, maybe more mileage, and asking $80-$90,000 or more. I feel $70,000 is a good place to start.

I am happy to answer any questions!
Mark

A few more pictures of the interior. Check out how clean it is and it hasn't even been detailed yet (this Tuesday).

Check out the quality of the double-wall, insulated fiberglass top, the three, awning-style, screened windows built into the fixed top. It has a sunroof.

The body has 360-degree, wrap-around privacy glass. You can see out, they can't see in. Not shown are the sliding cloth curtains (being washed) and the custom, reversible insulation/heat reflectors for each window. Check out the quality of the cabinetry, the thoughtfulness in the layout, the HUGE amount of open space in the interior and plenty of room for gear.

There are two fold out hardwood tables, one attached to the third door, the other attached between the cabinet and the couch/bed. The lower bed (just under queen size) folds out in 5 seconds. Add pillows and you've got a fully-privacy-glassed and curtained bedroom.

Check out the floor. It's hardwood parquet oak. Yes, there is a square that needs to be repaired more completely. But I leave it up to the next owner to do what they want with the floor. Maybe they want a completely different style of flooring?

There is a water heater system that allows you to take a hot shower either inside or outside the vehicle. The sink has hot water too, if you want. There is a removable, flushing porta-potty with a custom seat cover that you can bring along which allows you to be fully self-contained. This fridge is an IsoTherm and it has been run for only a few days total.

The house batteries are less than a year old. I've got a bunch of brand new replacement parts and accessories that are included with the sale, including two 5-gallon water tanks, two 5-gallon fuel tanks. Replacement CO and propane sensors, replacement furnace controller board, neoprene seatcovers, and more. Also included are two, custom-built, strong, multi-functional, hitch-mounted racks. High-lift jack and extraction kit.

Just about everything is made well and works well.

Price drop to $60k.

Easily one of the cleanest, most unique E350 4x4s available for this price. This van is a true unicorn.
