Solo Death Valley trip April 24-26 2017, Getting Away From it All.

Hello everyone. So the thought of taking a trip to Death Valley has crossed my mind for the longest time. Since my new career path and moving to Socal things have been put on a stand still. Finally this year I was able to get a week off and execute my plans. What better time during spring when the weather is bearable and the flowers are blooming. Enjoy these pictures!

First stop: Trona Pinnacles, wind was super strong that day.

Geologist Cabin is the place to spend the night, no rats, has electricity and a crapper, plus electricity inside the crapper. If you find it leave it better than you found it.

Road to the Race Track, make sure your suspension is in good condition and gear securely mounted, the road is about 20 miles of wash board conditions. Saw a guy lose his RTT right off his truck.

Thanks, wish I had more time for Saline Valley and Eureka dunes. Of course time is a luxury. Back to work for me.

Not really, however I do wish I had found Manson's hide out. Apparently I passed it without knowing. Other than that everything went well and the Taco held up to its reputation.

Awesome pictures! And hats off for going at it solo, I just did a solo trip and ended up making some big route changes due to a service engine light that came on. Did you exit the park via south pass? If so was there a massive rock still partially blocking the road?

Thanks Kjswa. If it's the service light it's most likely an oil change. After Lippincott road I made a left onto Saline Valley road towards 190. Didn't see a big rock in the way so that's good.
