some help on axle location ???

how do you determine the right location for the axle?
i have a 6'X10' trailer and want to make it 14' but i'm not sure how to measure to relocate the axle. Welding on another 4' shouldn't be a problem, right?

I just built a trailer from scratch and placed the axle 6" back from the center of the box. The toungue weight was only probably 30lbs, but it won't be a problem as I am going to add a tounge box with a RV battery and a propane tank.

It really depends on the load your going to put in the trailer, is the load evenly distributed, the tounge weight to want to end up with, and the class of hitch on your tow TV.
