Flew on this starting at 530pm yesterday, flew until 330am this morning. Had a few moments of excitement when I saw a couple of bright orange objects that looked like survival suits, but from 1000ft it's hard to tell (helo took a closer look and reported they were buoys for commercial fishing lines). Later in the night we found a strobe in the water, but a fishing vessel investigated and it turned out to be a data buoy one of our own hilos had dropped for measuring current drift.
The two attached pictures were taken with my cellphone camera (I sadly forgot my good camera) looking out the left paratroop door. First you can see engine and external tank, with the other prop behind. Second picture is looking through my Night Vision Goggles (NVG's). You can see part of the large fishing fleet, something in the sky (maby a plane? not sure what it was). If you look real close you can see the rear or the left external tank in the center right of the picture.
